The Indian Army (Bhāratīya Thal Sēnā) is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year, in recognition of Lieutenant General K. M. Cariappa’s taking over as the first commander-in-chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British commander-in-chief of India, on 15 January 1949.
Indian Army’s and bicycle’s bonding started far before Independence from British rulers and used by Indian soldiers during World Wars. Bicycles are still used by Indian Armed Force Cadets during their training course. Many Indian Army Officers have achieved new heights in cycling as sport. Salute to Anil Puri, Bharat Pannu, Alok Singh, Dhruv Bogra and many more unsung heroes.
How’s The Josh? High Sir!
Salute & Thanks for Your Service!
